Daniil’s father is a Russian poet, philologist, linguist (Alexander Strakhov lives in the U.S., in Boston) and his mother is a psychotherapist. His parents divorced when he was very young and he spent most of his childhood living with his grandparents.
Since his childhood Daniil was interested in movie and theatre. So in 1993 he entered the Moscow Art Theater School. In a year he was transferred to the Shchukin Theatre School.
